The Government’s Child Poverty Strategy 'A New Approach to Child Poverty: Tackling the Causes of Disadvantage and Transforming Families’ Lives' sets out a new approach to tackling poverty and securing social justice in the decade ahead. As a proportion, this is higher than in almost any other European Union country, despite being one of the richest countries in the world.
